This manual was
published in partnership with the Montgomery County
Department of Health and Human Services, the Montgomery
County Collaboration Council for children, Youth and
Families, the Governor's Office of Crime Control and
Prevention, and parents as the Anti-Drug. Studies show that
parents play an important role in helping to prevent problem
behaviors of adolescence such as use and abuse of alcohol,
tobacco, and other drugs, teen pregnancy, poor school
performance, violence, and juvenile delinquency. Parents can
be more effectual by becoming aware of effective strategies
and programs in order to set clear standards for their
children and furnish on-going support and guidance. Contents
